Transforming Perth’s Iconic iCity Visitor Kiosk
How All Flags and Signs delivered a landmark architectural wrap for the City of Perth
Overview
All Flags and Signs, one of Perth’s leading large-format print and signage specialists, was selected by the City of Perth to print and install a full architectural wrap on the iconic iCity Visitor Kiosk on Murray Street. The kiosk’s organic shape and sweeping curves made it one of the most technically challenging wrapping projects in Perth, and the finished result has transformed it into a striking piece of public art.

The Client
The City of Perth is the local government authority responsible for the capital city’s public infrastructure, including the iCity Visitor Kiosk. The City approached All Flags and Signs directly, based on a proven track record of successful projects delivered for the Council.
The Challenge
The kiosk’s organic shape, curves and intricate detailing meant a standard wrap wouldn’t work; any misalignment or seam would be immediately obvious. The project also carried a fixed deadline, needing to be complete in time for NAIDOC Week 2026.
Objectives
What the project set out to achieve
Print and install a full wrap across the kiosk’s complex surfaces, with the artwork flowing seamlessly across every curve.
Maintain exceptional print quality and long-term outdoor durability.
Deliver in time for the NAIDOC Week 2026 unveiling.

The Solution
Craftsmanship mapped to every curve
The production and installation team carefully planned every stage, mapping the artwork to the kiosk’s curved geometry before producing it via premium large-format printing built to withstand outdoor exposure. On site, the team applied the wrap section by section, taking particular care at joins and transitions so the design by Hayley Thomas read as one continuous artwork. That level of hands-on craftsmanship, built on experience from previous City of Perth projects, is what set the approach apart from a standard signage job and overcame the structure’s technical complexity.
Timeline
NAIDOC Week 2026 (5–12 July)
The project was completed and unveiled in recognition of NAIDOC Week 2026 (5–12 July), the key milestone driving the schedule.
Results
A landmark unveiled to public recognition
The completed installation transformed the iCity Visitor Kiosk into a striking public artwork celebrating Aboriginal culture, while showcasing premium large-format printing and specialist installation. The City of Perth praised All Flags and Signs for the quality of workmanship and professionalism shown throughout, and publicly showcased the completed kiosk on its official LinkedIn page.
Broader Impact
A culturally significant landmark
The artwork created a vibrant, culturally significant landmark telling the story of individuals and communities coming together to live and thrive holistically within the City of Perth. For All Flags and Signs, the project reinforced its position as a trusted delivery partner for complex, high-profile public works.

Scalability
Repeatable for other civic projects
This approach is well suited to other local government authorities and public bodies looking to transform civic infrastructure into meaningful public art, with the main adaptation being the level of upfront planning needed to map artwork onto each site’s geometry.
