Other PC programs
We prefer MAC OS9 and OSX. In the case of PC data, please convert all text to character paths. If fonts are embedded on the PC, it is not possible to process your document on MAC. Processing is possible in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint but the representation depends on the local settings.
Composition of Black Colour Black surfaces (also text) should be created with a spot colour. Therefore, simply use the setting 55/40/40/100 (CMYK) and name the full-tone colour "jet black".
Resolution You can easily check on the monitor whether the present resolution is sufficient for the planned enlargement. Set the size to ensure that the image corrosponds to the final size (set the image size in Photoshop and activate the ruler). Check at the correct viewing distance. 30-50 dpi (in relation to the final size) are sufficient for a pure photo without any text.
Overprinting ... normally ignored by our RIP. Please inform us if this could have an effect on the correct repoduction of your document.
Profiles Images must always be saved with the profile used.
Vector Colour scales Important colour transitions should normally be created as an image file (20dpi) in Photoshop. Important: Activate the "Dither" option in Photoshop.
Transparency ...the best result can be obtained with ADOBE CS(2) programs. Proof Printing If you provide us with all important colour specifications (Pantone or HKS) or colour samples, we set the correct colour value in your (open) document at no extra charge. The provision of a digital proof could be helpful, but you should bear in mind that reproduction on a normally matt or translucent textile with the same brilliant colours is not possible. Therefore, time-consuming proof printing is required in exceptional cases (high print runs or difficult colours.) |
